TDM Conference 2025: Connecting Analytics, Clinical Practice, and Innovation in the Heart of Bratislava
On April 11–12, 2025, the 2nd Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM) Conference including the XI. Spring Conference of Clinical Pharmacy took place at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Comenius University in Bratislava.
The event was held under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty and in cooperation with the Section of Clinical Pharmacy of the Slovak Pharmaceutical Society, org. unit of the Slovak Medical Association.
The aim of the conference was to provide a platform for professionals in analytical chemistry, clinical pharmacy, and academia to meet, exchange experiences, and promote interdisciplinary knowledge sharing.
The program featured two analytical, two clinical, and one toxicological lecture blocks. The plenary lecture dedicated to the novel analytical trends in TDM has been held by Dr. Rafał Szewczyk, expert in
the field of LC-MS and “omics” analyses. Participants also had the opportunity to attend practical workshops focused on innovative methods used in TDM. The analytical section included two workshops on LC-MS and emerging trends in HPLC. The clinically oriented workshop focused on the use of the pharmacokinetic software DoseMeRx for modeling and interpreting plasma drug concentrations. It was led by renowned expert Dr. Sharmeen Roy, Chief Scientific Officer at DoseMeRx, who was named one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in Healthcare Technology 2024 in the United States.
