Nada and Mohamed - Erasmus students from the University of Messina - consider continuous assessment to be more motivating for students
Studying at the University of Messina, with Egyptian roots - Nada Abdelhamid and Mohamed Ibrahim were born and grew up in Kairo and by winning a scholarship from an Egyptian foundation to study at a secondary school, Southern Italy became their second home and the University of Messina – Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche, Biologiche, Farmaceutiche ed Ambientali - a gateway to professional life. Thanks to the Erasmus+ programme, they had the opportunity to come to Slovakia and experience the rigours of studying pharmacy at Comenius University Bratislava during the summer semester of the previous academic year. How do Nada and Mohamed feel about their life in Italy and how did they like Slovakia?

More than preferred specialisation was the desire to gain valuable professional experience in a laboratory important to her. Even extending her studies by a year was no obstacle for Ekin Çiçek, a 5-year student in English Pharmacy degree at Ankara University, to apply for Erasmus+ mobility in the summer term of the 2023/2024 academic year. As she would like to continue her studies at one of the European universities as a PhD student, she wanted to know how she could familiarise herself with life in another country, with studying at a different university. Among the partner universities, it was Comenius University Bratislava, Ekin was assigned by her home university for Erasmus+ mobility. Will Slovakia be a second home country for Ekin? Did the work with the Department of Pharmacognosy and Botany´s research team convince her to apply for a PhD study at our Faculty of Pharmacy after graduating from Ankara University?
